Trenton Lawn Bowling Club

As defined in the Bowls Canada Lawnbowlers' Handbook, "lawn bowling is a cure for care, an antidote for worry. It includes companionship with friends, sociability and the opportunity for courtesy, kindliness and the generosity to an opponent. It provides not only physical health, but moral force."
The Trenton Lawn Bowling Club (TLBC) was founded in 1945. Although originally built by its members, the clubhouse is now leased from and maintained by the City of Quinte West. We are associated with both Bowls Canada and the Ontario Lawn Bowls Association.
Bowls, or lawn bowls, is a sport in which the objective is to roll biased bowls so that they stop close to the target which is a small white ball called a jack. The objective is to accumulate more points (shots) than the opposing player or team by having bowls closer to the jack than any of their opponents' bowls after all bowls have been delivered for an end.
Here in Trenton, it is played outdoors on a green. Our outdoor surface is natural grass maintained by our Greenskeeper.
Lawn bowls can be played by anyone. It is an inclusive sport for all ages and abilities. We are wheelchair accessible, both into the clubhouse and onto the greens.
